Often the market will dictate when you are able to move, so when your area of law is buoyant, it can be the best time to find the right role for you.

This month: What’s does the market show us?
The pie chart above gives a breakdown of the areas of law where roles where advertised over the last 12 months in the East of England region.
The areas of law this year are much more balanced than in the last two years. This means that most areas of law now have roles available which is good news for you as a legal professional. This is particularly encouraging in areas such as family (12%), employment (11%) and litigation (10%). We have started to see opportunities in these fields, where previously (just two years ago), each of these areas of law made up only 2% of the market. Property is still a dominant force (28% of the total market), however in moderation in comparison with the last few years. That said, lots of firms are still open to commercial and residential property professionals, as many are just managing without them!
Private client takes up 14% of the market with corporate commercial 11%. Clinical negligence at 5% and personal injury 4% become ever more specialist disciplines.
In this ever changing market place Clara Rose Consultancy remain up to date as to where the best opportunities are and how to find them. Remember we are always happy to have that confidential chat about the market and how it might impact on your career, or the best options open to you for progression. Right now private client roles at the senior end occupy a large portion of the roles we are currently working on, second to corporate commercial.
