Thinking about a role in the new year?

Winter is coming!

So the summer is firmly behind us and the colder weather beckons! Dare you go beyond the wall? (Ok enough Game of Thrones references and apologies to anyone that hasn’t watched it!)

This Month: Thinking about a role in the new year?

Talking to firms, as we always are, many of them are actively recruiting and keen to get the right people in roles for busy departments who say they needed the help yesterday!

As we enter the final quarter of the year it is worth bearing in mind that if you want a new role for the new year then on a 3 month notice period you would need to be accepting an offer now! If you want to start exploring the market then getting a CV together should be your first priority. If you were to do that this month, then interview in November it is likely to result in offers this side of Christmas. You might be starting a role anytime from the end of February to the middle of March! It really is worth keeping in mind how long that three month notice period can be.

We can help you draft your CV and help you explore multiple options, managing the timing of interviews and offers, and generally be on hand as a resource for you helping to ensure that you remain in control and are happy throughout the whole process.

Firms expect to wait 3 months as it is very usual in the industry but it is always better to give yourself more time to look around and make a considered moved rather than jump in a panic to another. Similarly if you find yourself having been approached directly by a firm and this has sparked your interest in a possible career move, please do get in touch with us as there may be other firms who we are working with who have roles that may be of interest to you. You can then consider and potentially explore the opportunities in the market fully.

As always we are happy to talk whether on the phone or in person, via text message or whats app just drop us a line.
