After completing a BSc in Psychology and Social Science, in 2001 I joined a law firm for summer work experience. This opportunity took me on a journey to becoming a legal secretary, then a paralegal whilst studying for the CPE and LPC, to qualifying as a solicitor. Eleven years later and after forging my specialism in employment law, I joined a top 30 accountancy practice and there founded the first law firm to be owned by accountants in the UK.
After nearly 20 years in the profession, I opted to leave the law so that I could work with lawyers in a different capacity; to ensure they are managing their career and creating healthy and sustainable high performing environments. I therefore retrained as a coach and licenced practitioner and founded my current business, Skylark.
This exciting new journey led me to this complimentary business, Clara Rose Consultancy. Unlike stereotypical ‘recruitment agencies’ each consultant here comes from a legal background. We each understand the legal profession and both the challenges for individuals when building their career and for law firms when recruiting good people.
Drawing from my own experiences and knowledge of the legal market, I look to build strong relationships so I become your trusted adviser to maximise the longevity of any placements I make.
