We can honestly say that we have never been busier! It has always been the case that as a legally qualified professional you have a wider range of options when your area of law is in demand.
For the last 5 years one area that has been consistently busy is commercial property. Commercial real estate lawyer have options in front of them. When approached by a commercial property solicitor or CILEX who asks what jobs are out there we simply ask them where they would like to work and then explore those options! We are rarely let down and it is usual for commercial property lawyers to quickly gain a number of interviews at firms of their choosing. We even have a part time opportunity in commercial property at the moment which is really rare!
Private client practitioners also get a good pick of the firms as in most geographical areas they are sought after. Likewise corporate and commercial solicitors but this has only been the case for the last couple of years.
Often we find that when we focus on you as an individual we get good results. We are happy to flag roles to you as they arise, and we frequently do, but also we are constantly helping individuals to explore the market, confidentially and discreetly, to see what is out there for them. A few conversations and getting you in the focus of the right firms can work wonders in finding something that really suits moving forwards.
