School (and most of the legal world) is out for summer! Which means you are likely to be either on holiday yourself or flat out in the office covering for all the people who are on holiday, wishing that you had air conditioning!
Things do go quiet in the world of recruitment over august, but it is a great time to get your housekeeping in order.
This Month… Be ready for the autumn push!
Even if you are not actively “looking” for a role (and most people I send this to aren’t), it never hurts to be ready should something really appealing arise. Sometimes just a delay in applying for a role can make the crucial difference between success and failure; especially in autumn when firms will be looking to get people in place before the New Year.
Have a quick look at your CV and ensure that it is up to date so that if the right job should arise over autumn you are ready to go, and think about what you are looking for from a new role so that you will recognise it when it comes along. Other than that enjoy the sunshine, take as much time as you can to relax and recharge those batteries!
