One step forward or two steps back?

December is upon us and so is that familiar desire to look back on the year.
This month: Taking stock!
We thought we would do the same and take stock of our year. We have had great year here helping a record number of legal professionals to progress their careers. Right across the board in terms of geography, seniority and area of law we have been able to find the next career step for more people than ever.
We have found the market to be buoyant and that good firms continue to recruit and thrive despite the changing world around us. Unfortunately we have heard stories of people let down by traditional ‘agency’ recruiters in terms of both confidentiality and bad career choices, which is always a real shame. However we have managed to prove our worth to some people who have been ‘burnt’ in the past either by agents or by bad law firm practices and we have helped them come out feeling stronger.
Having been operating for 7 years now people are really using us as a part of their careers. Whether it is bouncing a pay rise off us, looking for the next step or just refining their specialism we are able to help by sharing what we have learnt over the years (good and bad!).
We have really enjoyed working closely with firms and specific teams. By operating in consultation with them we have helped them grow according to their plans but we are also able to suggest alternative solutions to their problems and by doing so have maximised the opportunities in the market for them. This has led to quicker and more effective development of the team or firm and happier people all round.
